Multiple OS in VPS
If you pick one of our virtual private server packages, you will have 3 different Operating Systems to select from - CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu. They're all Linux distributions and we offer them instead of offering just one OS, as the apps that you might choose to run on the server could have specific requirements for the software environment. Each of the three has some pros regarding the available plans that you can afterwards install, but what's common between them is that they are really secure and reliable and have huge communities that support them. The hosting Control Panel alternatives for the VPS accounts depend on your OS choice, in order to give you more flexibility. When you order the virtual server with one OS and you need a different one later, our technical support team can easily reinstall the VPS with the new one in a matter of minutes. We also offer you the option to maintain the Operating System on your server up-to-date weekly.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Hosting
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server packages - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they are free so they will not increase the low price of your new server, but also because they are exceptionally stable and secure. Each of them is supported by a big community of web developers, so you'll be able to choose from a large number software packages that you could install on your server if the application that you want to employ has specific requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use as the Control Panels that we offer are compatible with specific OSs only and since we would like to provide you with as much versatility as possible, we offer multiple OSs and multiple Control Panels. If you choose a server with a given OS, we will change it upon request in case it turns out that you'll need alternative one. We could also keep the OS updated on a weekly basis as part of the useful Managed Services upgrade.
