A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a cloud website hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a lot of features, but it’s surprisingly intuitive, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes just a mouse click. All the email addresses that you have created will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will only need to click the "Catch-all" button for the concrete email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and requires yet another mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to set up a catch-all email mailbox easily even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you’ve set up using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you have already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you do not want this feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
